At Mafic Design Build, we combine architectural design expertise and +20 years of construction experience along with passive house building science to produce durable, healthy, and energy efficient custom homes.

We are certified Certified Passive House Designers/Consultants (CPHDC) and Certified Passive House Builders and Tradespeople (CPHT), trained to meet the modern challenges of construction to Passive House standards and Net Zero Energy buildings.

Passive House Design

We design homes to prioritize airtight building envelopes with winds and orientation in mind, utilizing high-quality insulation, and efficient ventilation systems to create buildings that rely very little on external energy sources for internal temperature regulation.

Building Expertise

Our extensive experience designing and constructing homes allows us to bring the expertise to build with good un­der­stand­ing of the in­ter­ac­tions and in­ter­de­pend­en­cy­ of com­pon­ents in any project.

Consulting

We offer consulting services on building envelopes, building science, ventilation fundamentals and strategies, high performance building enclosure and mechanical systems and renovations among other building services. We help people develop strategies to mitigate potential risk and ensuring a smoother construction process.
